In our youth, life was lived with a deep naive innocence and idealism about the world. This innocence was what made us experience life with joy and purpose. We were always in the moment and couldn’t imagine holding a grudge or clinging to our childhood disappointments. We had no doubt that life matter as long as we were in it.

As we age and learn life’s tough lessons, we often lose that innocence. We can become jaded and closed about intimacy, uncertain about our faith in the world and we hold guilt and hurt tightly as we allow ourselves to become buried beneath it all.
