The Leadership
Intensive
(half day or full day)
Leaders
today are waking up to the stark reality that it's no longer about
how workers must adapt to their employers, but how employers must
now adapt to their employees. Support in adapting includes
understanding how generational values are transforming the world of
work. For the first time in history there are four cohorts in the
workplace at the same time and it’s causing a bit of a stir. The
primary challenge today is how to navigate amidst these
differences. Participants will gain valuable tools on how to stack
the generational DECK by developing, engaging, collaborating and
keeping thereby creating sustainable and engaged intergenerational
teams.
It’s not our age
differences that divide us but rather it’s our judgments about each
other that create conflict and break down collegial relationships. A
judgment that one generation is better than another regarding work
ethics, company loyalty, technology and social skills are just a few
of the key differences now shaping our work experience. Once we
have a grasp on the generational imprints that have left lasting
impressions upon each clan we can than begin to breakdown these
judgments and realize they are as many unique differences as
similarities between them.
Based on the book
Four Generation-One Workplace Olivia McIvor will explore the most
relevant research regarding these imprints left upon each generation
and how they transfer over to the working environment. Being able
to answer these questions and understand that new workplace
transformation is essential for business leaders wanting to engage
the brightest stars in their industry, regardless of age
This workshop is
not only for HR professionals, but for leaders wanting to synergize
generational knowledge.
Contagious
Kindness:
embracing connection, compassion & community in
the workplace
In
this inspirational and thought provoking program Ms. McIvor will
bring to life the value of ‘kindness’ by taking participants on a
self reflective journey through the 12 Character building traits as
discussed in the text. This program promises to raise one’s
self-awareness and personal accountability for the development of a
respectful and caring workplace culture. Kindness as a core value,
and as standard for decision-making, provides an easily understood
‘emotional benchmark’ for recharging and centering oneself in the
midst of stress and the daily changes of today’s workplace.
Kindness is a
simple concept - too simple some might think to provide a solution
to the complex and serious challenges of work. But it is precisely
this simplicity that gives kindness such power to affect change at
all levels within individuals and organizations. On a personal
level, each of us can relate to how a simple kind word or an offer
of help from a friend or colleague can go a long way to alleviate
our stress and turn our day around.
Building
Collaborative Relationships:
Leading the Generations
The
development of community within a company is something that happens
intentionally or not. We have seen examples of cultures that form
without a solid intention and often they are not prepared to deal
with low company morale, loss of productivity, dissatisfied
workforce and challenges with attracting, retaining and engaging a
dependable workforce. As we focus on creating advantageous
relationships with those we collaborate with and depend on in our
industry we need to remember that one of the relationships we truly
need is the relationship with our own team members.
Nurturing relationship development with each other
will directly contribute to the effectiveness of each and every
person’s commitment within this movement. But what elements
contribute to creating collaborative relationships, one that
supports the desires and aspirations of all within it? "Building
Collaborative Relationships" explores the necessary elements a
company focus on in order to create a sustainable corporate culture
that hears all age groups, actively responds to define corporate
values and actively ignites the workforce is depends on.

Leadership
Vision:
building character to create an inspiring culture
An
individual’s habits, thoughts and words become their character,
which turns into positive or negative action. This inspirational
and self-empowering workshop presupposes that everyone in the
organization is a leader and each person is accountable and
responsible for personally building positive character traits.
Change occurs when
we are given new skills to consider and actions to
contemplate. Participants will be given an opportunity to be
introspective regarding self-empowerment in the workplace — no one
can motivate you but you. The journey begins with self. Explore
the Four Character Building Traits: Authenticity, Attitude,
Excellence and Resilience and cultivate an awareness of your own
behaviours. Commit to leaving the workshop with a goal to make your
workday more stellar than you started it. Practical and tangible
ideas will be discussed to support each of the character building
traits. By beginning with self and building a strong foundation,
one is then capable of feeling in control of their working
environment.

"Everyone was thrilled to have been able to attend and will be
taking what they have learned and applying it back at their
workplaces. The overwhelming comment was that now they understand
why the different generations respond differently to the same
situation. Some even said that now they may understand their kids
better. It was a great presentation, informative and educational.
This should be something presented in every workplace."
